"We become everything we say we are, so speak it all into existence." – Ruby Veridiano-Ching

Month: September, 2012

After these past two rough weeks I’ve learned three things:

  1. Some relationships deem temporary as much as they feel permanent. .
  2. Poetry is necessary.
  3. Humility is my favorite human trait.

What I’m Learning

I realize I learn more from my students than from anyone else. The most valuable lesson they’ve taught me is how to love unconditionally. Every. Day.

Staying Over

Yesterday I arrived in the city with a bad taste in my mouth; a lingering sour feeling of disappointment built the night before. I got off the train with the intention of only staying here for one night, then I’d take a one-way ticket home. I was sure at that moment my current state would only ruin me and anything in my path. So I vied to leave as quickly as I arrived.

But now that I’ve come “home” from teaching, come “home” from seeing a good friend, come “home” to see home, I don’t want to leave. I’m in a different place now.
